Social Media is more than just a way for individuals to connect. The likes of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are the greatest collection of organised markets on the internet. Imagine if TV advertising allowed you to spend your money in such a way that you could precisely choose the demographic, down to age, location, even what people have been updating their Facebook status with.
Sitting at the junction between social media marketing and paid search, Facebook marketing is here to stay. Facebook themselves see paid adverts on their platform as their route to monetisation and long term stability, something that MySpace or Friendster or any number of pretenders never achieved. Here at Vertical Leap we see Facebook advertising as a natural extension of what we already do for hundreds of businesses; increasing the reach of a brand, resulting in more traffic and an increased return on investment.
Of course, the new stream that is Facebook marketing has its own particular strategies and tactics, and we’ve written extensively on the subject. Presented below are a few pieces on Facebook advertising that we think are interesting and informative.

One of the more interesting possibilities of advertising on Facebook is the ability to choose where to send your traffic, either to a website or a Facebook page. This next piece explores the subject

Whhhhatttt..Your page you have more control over, you can track all the activity in GA and it’s YOUR business website. This was an initial thought though when Facebook marketing was taking off, with the growth of the Facebook community, this view is and has needed to change…read more
